Program Objectives

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to participate in the development of energy audits related to the energy and environmental performance of buildings and contribute effectively to project development within multidisciplinary teams.

Students will also be trained to undertake research and development activities within companies and organizations, enabling them to address environmental challenges with greater professionalism and efficiency.

The specific objectives of the program are as follows:

  • Acquire technical expertise in the field of energy management and energy efficiency.

  • Develop the ability to design buildings that are efficient from both energy and environmental perspectives, while complying with regulatory requirements and integrating innovative concepts and renewable energy systems.

  • Plan building projects from the design phase through construction and operation.

  • Select sustainable construction materials, digital tools, high-performance equipment, and sustainable energy supply solutions.

  • Contribute to the management of projects with significant environmental requirements and identify appropriate technical solutions.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the socio-technical and economic dimensions of building design.

  • Select suitable financing options and management models.

  • Solve problems related to energy management and energy efficiency in buildings.

  • Strengthen collaboration between universities and the socio-economic sector.

  • Promote the valorization and dissemination of research outcomes.

  • Enhance foreign language learning and proficiency.

  • Acquire knowledge and experience through cooperation and exchanges with other universities.

This Professional Master’s program is designed to train building specialists by providing them with interdisciplinary and complementary skills to meet the requirements related to controlling the environmental impact and energy costs of residential, industrial, and tertiary buildings.

Today, environmental issues have intensified, and the energy crisis has become a reality. One of the consequences is the negative impact on the environment through the increase in greenhouse gas emissions. Modern buildings must therefore be designed according to environmental principles, minimizing the use of non-renewable resources and reducing energy consumption as much as possible. These principles must be considered and integrated from the very beginning of the design process.

Energy-efficient buildings are becoming increasingly attractive. In addition to being environmentally friendly, such buildings offer significant long-term economic savings. They also contribute to the fight against climate change by reducing carbon footprints.

To meet these emerging needs, professions related to the building and energy sectors must evolve. This evolution requires educational programs capable of addressing these changes, as relatively few professionals are currently able to respond to the growing demand for a comprehensive approach due to insufficient knowledge and limited understanding of these issues.

This program has therefore been established to provide the local, regional, and national markets with specialists capable of contributing to the reduction of energy consumption in buildings.

Considering the shortage, and in some cases the absence, of specialized university training in this field, the graduates of this Professional Master’s program will contribute to revitalizing the employment sector, which is currently saturated for architects, opening new career opportunities and stimulating the building industry.

This program focuses on contemporary issues related to energy consumption in buildings, with particular emphasis on strategies aimed at achieving high performance and low energy consumption. This approach takes into consideration:

  • Integration within the local territory, including regional and climatic specificities.

  • Construction materials and building techniques adapted to each region.

  • Energy savings and responsible energy use.

  • Comfort, well-being, and health.

Furthermore, this training program aims to promote entrepreneurship within the university by integrating a systematic entrepreneurial approach, understanding market needs, developing business plans, and encouraging business creation.

Within the same perspective, the establishment of local and regional entrepreneurial ecosystems is envisaged in order to provide new momentum for national employability and economic development.
